Can I tell you about Mark Meek and Janeen Sollman?

We are just FOUR weeks from Election Day. I am so grateful for all of your support and enthusiasm, and, with your help, I know we can protect Oregon and her future together.

To do that, we need to protect our majority in the Oregon State Senate. Corporate special interests and billionaires have been pumping millions into the Republican campaigns for the State Senate.

With your help, we have a fighting chance. One reason? Quality candidates — people who are recognized as outstanding public servants by the public. Let me tell you about Mark and Janeen:

Representative Mark Meek is a father, U.S. Air Force Veteran, and small business owner who has served as State Representative since 2017. Growing up, Mark experienced periods of homelessness and today he is passionate about improving affordable housing and helping families find stability through home ownership. Mark is one of three Hispanic candidates for State Senate this year - a chamber that currently has no Hispanic or Latino representation. Mark's top priorities are affordable housing and reducing homelessness, investing in veterans' services, and improving education. Mark's Republican opponent is dangerous for Oregon: he'll oppose the rights of workers, women, and our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

Senator Janeen Sollman is a lifelong Washington County resident. She began her service as a school board member and then Chair of the Hillsboro School Board. As a State Representative, Janeen helped pass landmark legislation to increase funding for our schools, reduce gun violence, and protect reproductive rights. She also advocated for increased environmental protections and support for local small businesses and community organizations. In 2022, Janeen was appointed by the Washington County Commission to serve her community in the Oregon State Senate. A passionate community volunteer, Janeen has served home-bound seniors through Meals on Wheels People for eleven years.

Democrats win when we all chip in. Whether you contribute $5, $50 or $500 — can I count on you to donate to elect Democrats to the Oregon State Senate?
