Vote like our democracy depends on it – because it does

In 2018, Oregonians – and Americans across the country – voted in record numbers. That’s because we know there’s a lot at stake: the health of our communities; our fair and democratic elections; our public schools; our children’s safety in those schools; and a planet for them to have a future on.

Oregon’s first-in-the-nation vote by mail system is safe, secure, and the most effective way to make your voice count while you’re staying safe at home. Make sure you put your ballot in the mail by tomorrow, May 14, so it’s received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 19. Or better yet, drop it off at your nearest ballot drop box.

Please vote. Remind your friends to vote. Share it on social media. Maybe shout it from your window for your neighbors to hear. Or set up a video call with them.

Just vote.

With all the science-denial, racism, and hate out there, it’s more important than ever to remember our history and what can happen when we don’t stand up and fight for our future. There’s too much at stake to sit out an election, so just vote.

Help make this year’s voter turnout even bigger by getting your ballot in as soon as you can.

Thanks for making your voice count.
